Engage with the local community to protect and preserve our natural environment.

Our regular activities are open for anyone to attend. You don't have to be a member of our group and you don't need to book.

Monthly Working Bees

Our Bushcare working bees are in the on every third Sunday morning of the month and last for 2 hours. We post more details, such as times and where to meet up, on our Facebook page about a week before each event.

Wear closed in shoes, a hat, a long sleeved shirt and gloves. We are usually involved in weeding or planting and afterwards we are rewarded with a morning tea which is a great opportunity to chat with the other volunteers.

We have volunteers who have been coming for many years and others who are brand new. You don't need to have any prior knowledge of Bushcare as there is a wealth of knowledge there.

Guided Bushwalks

We host two guided morning walks in the reserve every Month. They start around 8am but times can vary depending on the season. We can't guarantee koala sightings but we have some expert spotters and are seldom dissapointed

Check Facebook for event details.

On the 2nd Sunday we have Pats walk which starts from the main gate of the Children's Playground and lasts for 2 hours.

On 4th Sunday we have Peters walk which starts from The Jones Rd entrance to the reserve (near the junction with Kildare St) and lasts for 1 hour.

They are easy slow walks so we have lots of opportunity to lookout for local flora and fauna. We keep to the graded paths although we will encounter some gradients and steps (it's a hill). See map below for starting point.

Other events and activities

As well as our regular activities we host other events throughout the year.

Examples are: Eucalypt identification walks, Toad busting sessions, Clean Up Australia, Mothers Day walk and Night walks.

We intend to provide more information about these events as our site develops
