Whites Hill Reserve

Whites Hill Reserve covers more than 170 hectares of ecologically significant bushland and is situated to the South East of Brisbane less than 10klm from the city centre.

It is bordered by the suburbs of Coorparoo, Camp Hill, Carina Heights and Holland Park and is contained within the Brisbane City Council Ward of Holland Park

It is a bushland remnant that consists of open eucalypt forest and a small patch of rainforest. Growing along Salvin Creek, the rainforest known as Sankey’s Scrub supports some rare plant species. As the name suggests, the reserve is named after Whites Hill, the site of Robert White’s residence, which became a popular teahouse in the early 1900s.

When visiting the reserve, you can enjoy a walk on one of the walking tracks, explore the nature the reserve has to offer, have a picnic or barbecue, take children to the playground or play games in the area known as The Common.

The sporting fields cater to three sporting activities; touch football, cricket and soccer. These areas also provide an excellent space for other activities such as kite-flying, picnicking and informal games.
