Planting alongside the recently repaired track

This was a last minute project as plantings were not on our radar at this time. The weather forecast had suggested a very dry period and yet we had experienced some good rainfall and forecasts of more to come. many of the tracks had recently been repaired and BCC wanted to take advantage of the rain and get some plants in alongside the Stringybark track near the Jones Rd entrance.
With 20 volunteers at our March working bee we planted 100 natives in the recently installed mulch. We had a team preparing the cardboard covers, another digging holes and the rest were fertilising and planting
Thanks to James' 500litre water bladder we were able to give them a really good watering as well which gave them a good start in life. Eight months later they are doing well with a loss of about 15%.
